It is native to the southwestern United States (New Mexico, southern Arizona, western Texas) and northern Mexico (Tamaulipas, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Chihuahua, San Luis Potosí, Durango, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Jalisco).
